I finally got my hands on Revlon Whimsical completely by accident. I actually saw the display and it wasn't there, I was so upset! I went digging around the discount bin and BAM. HERE IT IS. Along with Starry Pink, which got renamed to Popular!(bottle shots in this post) I decided to layer Whimsical over ORLY Frisky, since it really makes the blue glitter pop. Whimsical is very sheer, I kinda have to swirl the brush to pick up glitter and still had to use two coats. Whimsical is also a slightly more blue (and about 4 times cheaper) dupe for Deborah Lippmann Glitter in the Air.
It contains pink and blue hex glitter, tiny transparent glitter with a bright blue flash and smaller silver round glitter. The base is a slightly milky light blue jelly. The removal is fairly easy, which is a BIG plus for a glitter polish and it looks stunning on the nail. Wow, I am so glad to find it! I already want to layer it over everything...I think another jelly sandwich is in order.
This is so pretty!! It looks great over that amazing blue!

Kudos to you for finding it! :) I'm not really in love with Whimsical/GitA but I can relate to the warm feeling of finally slaying a lemming.

Is Whimsical really a dupe for Glitter in the air?? I've seen that polish loads of times at the store but never looked twice at it since I hate the formula of Revlons, but if it's a dupe then I must have it!!! :O
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure it is, it's just a smidge more blue. I've seen comparisons online, but have not compared them in person.
