Illamasqua - Lament and SOPI - To the Glitter End!

Here it is with the Illamasqua bottle

Illamasqua Lament is a beautiful coral that just draws me to it... It's like a flame, the brightest popsicle, burning neon orange-pink creme. It's a 2-coater with buttery formula I find so often in Illamasquas. I decided this is going to be a layering test for pewter glitter, Sephora By OPI - To The Glitter End!
On its own, TTGE is unable to become solid, which disappointed me. My ring finger contains 4 coats and still not solid. However, as a topping glitter it's fantastic! This polish is a unique cookie in my collection because of its color and uniform glitter shape.

As for Lament and TTGE together, it's an interesting combination! The contrast is there, I think if I layered this over silver, I'd get a very cool fishscale effect. Fishscales - that is exactly what TTGE reminds me of.
Overall, I'm very happy with Illamasqua Lament and pretty satisfied with Sephora by OPI To The Glitter End, but only as a topping glitter.

Nicole by OPI - Coral denominator

check out that color shift!

I don't usually buy NOPIs due to their price and the weird shaped bottle, but I just HAD to have this crazy looking coral duochrome foil! Coral Denominator is a Canadian exclusive, which makes me happy because we never get anything crazy up north. CD is very pretty, as it shifts from golden to coral, almost like a sunset.
I love this polish, but it's a little bit too cool for me and I wanted it to be more warm toned (the pink is more like mauve). Applies okay, but a little sheer, took me 3 coats to get it to show. Very metallic, pain in the butt to remove like a true foil. All in all, another duochrome to add to my collection!

ELF Coral polish

ELF Coral is a cool pink with very fine golden shimmer. The shimmer is barely seen, so it almost looks like a duochrome. Applies smoothly with 1 coat, I did 2 for the photos. It does chip and wear off easily, but that's not a problem for me, since I wear polish for 3 days at most.
I like the way gold plays into the color on the nail, it reminds me of flower petals somehow. I did not expect to like this Coral so much but I do!

ELF fire coral and Sexy Bomb S81 glitter

ELF Fire Coral is a fiery creme, applies veeery nice and is a one coater. The only issue I could find with it is that it chips VERY easily ( you can already see chips on my middle nail). But for 2 dollars, I don't really mind.  I added some of that really chunky holo glitter I got on the Vancouver haul (pic here) and it looked pretty nice. Fire Coral is sort of comparable to NYC Color Times Square, which is my favourite coral and also happens to be a one-coater.

Time Square is still my favourite though, just because it is a little more red, rather than orange. Fire coral leans towards orangey on my skin, but without Times Square next to it, Fire Coral looks like a true coral. Vibrant, reddish orangey pink. Corals just make me feel so sassy!
