I've owned Lioele cremes before and they were a little thick and goopy, but usable. When I saw these matte colors though, I just had to give them a go. I grabbed both the Pearl Plum Purple and Merry Pink Wine. Today, I will be reviewing the purple!
This polish is very pretty, it's very close to the OPI suede polishes, such as You Don't Know Jaques!, Russian Navy and such. They are very shimmery in the bottle, yet come out matte on the nail, shimmer translating into a suede look. It's very beautiful and makes me feel super classy! I did not use a topcoat to keep it matte and it stayed matte for as long as I wore it. Polish goes on very smooth and opaque, took me 2 coats to get the color like in the bottle (but 1 coat would've sufficed) and it dries very quick, making it perfect for a quick mani on the go.
The problem, same as OPI suedes, is the wear of this polish. I had tip wear by the next morning but that's what you get without a topcoat.
To conclude, the good points:
- Great color
- Dries fast
- Great formula
- Cheap
The bad:
- Can't use topcoat if you want matte
- Wears off easy
This is basically an OPI suede at the fraction of the price... I really love it! Can't wait to try the Merry Pink Wine (deep red, pictured here)
Oh my--this is quite pretty! I've never seen this brand swatched before.
ReplyDeleteI've heard of it when I looked for BB creams but had no idea they made great polish!
